Bridge to Freedom Who is Charles Scott Bridge to Freedom Event: “Who is Charles Scott?” May 2-2026 Houston texas

The Bridge to Freedom event, titled “Who is Charles Scott?”, is a community awareness initiative dedicated to highlighting issues of sentencing disparity within the criminal justice system. This event brings attention to the case of Charles Scott, who is currently serving a 51-year sentence under an outdated law, raising critical questions about fairness, reform, and proportional sentencing.

Through storytelling, education, and advocacy, this event aims to inform the public about how outdated sentencing policies continue to impact individuals and families today. It also serves as a call to action for community engagement, reform efforts, and broader awareness of systemic inequities in sentencing practices.

The Bridge to Freedom event reflects Lock’D Hearts’ ongoing mission to support justice-involved individuals and advocate for meaningful change that promotes fairness, accountability, and second chances.

Through meaningful greeting cards, advocacy, and resource-driven support, we uplift those navigating life during and after incarceration — because every heart deserves a second chance, and no one should walk this path alone.
